The Copper Country Youth Hockey Endowment, under the direction of the Keweenaw Community Foundation, was founded in 2008.
The purpose of creating the endowment is to offer assistance to those in our area who have the desire to play hockey but cannot afford to do so. As we all know, hockey has become an expensive sport. We feel that any child who desires to play this great game should not be denied the opportunity to play hockey due to lack of equipment or financial reasons. Our goal is to give more children in our area - the Copper Country - a chance to play the game that we love.
